So I have been investigating the world of Alcohol Inks. I am trying to fuse them into my acrylic paintings, as well as tackle the technicque on paper. I hope to have a booth at the 9/26/15 Sharon Waterfire Arts Festival so stay tuned!

It's been a while since last time we posted anything, honestly the holidays kept us busy, busy, busy! Here's what Theresa's been u to recently, working the demon's out of one of her newest works. I love where it's headed and can't wait to see more. Here's to a happy, healthy (and hopefully productive) 2015!

Color Crazy Prints

So lately I have been at a creative slump with all of the paintings that need finished up. Not sure why, after sitting at a desk all day at work, but I have taken a liking to manipulating the colors on digital images of my paintings. For some reason I find that they are more interesting this way!

Hard at Work

Happy to have added a few new works for sale in the Gallery! I have been very creative lately, not sure what has gotten into me. I think I am rebelling against the close of summer by working as dilligently as I can while I have the summer breeze and sun flooding my studio. I have been working on this tree for awhile, keeps getting creepier and creepier. I am excited though because I feel like I am merging the old me with the new me right now. Can't wait to see where this goes....

By day one way, by night another...this little cutie, titled "Fire & Ice", is finally finished after a year. I started this to honor my entry into last years Waterfire Sharon. We installed flickering LED lights, so it looks like real fire when it's turned pretty cool!!!

And I'm starting on another lighted piece that has been years in the making. This table was my grandmas and I have had it for years now. It has a glass top and cool retro design. For awhile I hav...

Happy Birthday Theresa & Alex!!!

Happy Birthday Theresa & Alex! Two of my favorite people sharing a birthday. I attached a couple of pics, one from 2006 when Alex was 2 and Theresa was...;-P Can't give away a ladies age. Nice try.

And Andy was feeling creative the other day when Theresa was in the studio. Andy wanted to help her with her clock piece but instead she gave him his own canvas to work on. He said his painting was of the beach and he even had a little back story with it too.

Hitting the home stretch!

I finally feel like I am in the home stretch with this piece. I have been working like mad the last few days to get this thing finished. I love trees, but I really don't want to look at any more for awhile! And it's kind of ironic that we were just in southern Ohio in the Hocking Hills surrounded by awesome trees and rolling hills. That is one place that can't help inspire you with all of it's natural beauty.

Pete has been working on his Minecraft cover and has nearly finished ink...

Long Time No See

It's been a while since we've had anything new to share with everyone. Unfortunately, Theresa did not get into the Erie Art Museum's Spring Art Show. That's another bummer but like the song by Chumbawamba goes, "I get knocked down, but I get up again!" And that's exactly what we're going to do. Currently she is working on a piece comissioned for a local business. As she works on that piece we'll be sure to post some progress pics.

Our oldest son, Alex, started his very first season of L...

Erie Art Museum 91st Annual Spring Show Entry

Well, It's that time of year again. Time to start entering works into juried shows. I entered several pieces into the Pittsburgh Arts Festival's juried show and after making it into the fifth round of deliberation my work was...denied. Oh well. It's a bummer but there's always next year. I entered two other pieces into the Erie Art Museum's 91st Annual Spring Art Show. I won't hear the results from this for several weeks so everyone keep their fingers crossed! The ones entered are a brand new...

Anyone can paint with a brush...We use feet!

Another productive day in the Studio today for both me and the kids. Before I started working on my own projects I thought the kids would have fun doing some "feet painting". We stretched out a big piece of canvas and the kids went to town. Nothing better than paint between your toes on a sunny Sunday afternoon! The boys had a lot of fun.

These have to be the most colorful little digits I've ever seen!
